Crystal Clean Green Cleaning Shares Sustainable Business Experience at Sarasota's Sustainable Communities Workshop

Sustainability has been part of Crystal Clean Green Cleaning since the beginning.

In November 2025, Crystal Clean had the opportunity to bring that experience into a broader community conversation when co founder Steven Pajevic participated in the "Planet and Profit" Green Business panel at the 20th Annual Sustainable Communities Workshop. The event took place November 6, 2025. YouTube

For us, the subject goes much deeper than using a few environmentally conscious cleaning products.

A truly sustainable residential cleaning company has to consider the entire operation.

How are products selected and used?

How much unnecessary waste is created?

How do cleaning practices affect the people and pets living in a home?

How are employees trained to work safely?

How does scheduling affect the health of the team?

Can the company remain financially strong enough to keep providing dependable service year after year?

Those questions are connected.

Crystal Clean's approach has always been built around the idea that sustainability includes people, planet, community, and responsible business operations.

Our systems and practices have helped divert nearly eight metric tons of waste from landfills over the life of the company through source reduction, supply management, and disciplined operating practices. Sustainability also extends to employee wellness, community involvement, responsible product selection, and long term business stability.

Why should any of this matter to someone looking for a house cleaning service in Sarasota or Lakewood Ranch?

Because how a company operates behind the scenes eventually affects the service inside your home.

Responsible systems help create consistency.

Well trained and supported employees help create safer service.

Thoughtful product selection matters around families and pets.

A stable local business can build long term relationships instead of constantly starting over.

Crystal Clean was previously named Sustainable Business of the Year by The Sustany Foundation, and participating in the Sustainable Communities Workshop gave us an opportunity to share what years of putting those ideas into practice have taught us.

We were also there to learn.

Sustainability is not something a business completes. It is a series of decisions that should continue improving as better information, technology, products, and practices become available.

Crystal Clean is proud to be part of that conversation in Sarasota.

More importantly, we are proud to put it into practice in the homes we serve every day.
